The West Virginia Turnpike is making travel easy. Upcoming planned changes to the system will help to improve safety and enhance the customer experience. E-ZPass® electronic toll collection makes traveling the West Virginia Turnpike more convenient, saves you money, and reduces traffic congestion. Using E-ZPass® allows you to pay tolls electronically without stopping as you pass through the plaza.

A big change is coming to the North Beckley Plaza—cash will no longer be accepted, and toll attendants will be removed. This makes it even more important for you to get an E-ZPass®. Once you have your E-ZPass®, use caution when approaching the plaza, maintain speeds, and keep moving. It’s that easy.

The West Virginia Turnpike, equipped with E-ZPass® for seamless toll payments, stretches approximately 88 miles from Charleston to Princeton. Along the route, travelers encounter notable points of interest such as Charleston, the vibrant capital city renowned for its culture and history.

As you journey southward, you’ll pass by Beckley, a charming town known for its outdoor adventures and the nearby Tamarack artisan center. Further down the road lies the city of Princeton, offering a blend of small-town charm and natural beauty. Whether you’re commuting or exploring, E-ZPass® makes traversing the West Virginia Turnpike a convenient and efficient experience. West Virginia residents who enroll can also use it across the other 16 states where E-ZPass® is accepted.

With an E-ZPass® you no longer have to stop at a toll plaza and dig for loose change. By simply attaching your toll transponder inside your vehicle, you can maintain a consistent speed through the plaza while never having to worry about needing cash.
